Soccer Player from Mexico in the U.S.
Saturday, April 3rd, 2010Soccer in Mexico is everything soccer, we specialize in two things, and two things only: Soccer and Mexico. Few places on earth are as passionate about the sport as Mexico is, loyal fans flock to stadiums as often as they can in fierce support of their favorite teams or in equal opposition to the rival club unless of course, the team playing is the Mexican National team known as “El Tri” as in the three colors of the Mexican Flag and uniform, the tradition green jersey called ” La Verde” meaning the green one is revered, an almost imposible team to beat when playing in the Aztec Stadium in Mexico City, some blame it on the altitude, some on the cities pollution but most agree that 110,000 screaming fans wearing “La Verde” are the reason winning vs “El Tri” in Mexico City is so difficult. Soccer in Mexico shares this passion for the sport and the country, we support young athletes from the US who wish to play in Mexico and young Mexican Players that are eager to show their skills in the U.S.
Soccer in Mexico and Fiesta Sports have recognized that young players that are looking for International experience find it almost impossible to acheive this so we decided to become a tool that will help them by giving the web exposure to help them get noticed by coaches in both countries.
Andres Alberto Brakke Raya, Born in Cancún, Mexico is 18 years old, has trained pre-season with several professional teams in his native Mexico, the latest was with Delfines de Los Cabos Fútbol Club which is a 2nd Division professional team that plays in Mexico’s very competitive Premier Promotional League in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico where his father is works as the Marketing Director for the Club. Andrés played and trained as a goalkeeper for most of his young carreer, but since his arrival in the U.S. he plays center forward on the perenial number one ranked team in Arizona, Sereno Soccer Club and his performance is being noticed by college coaches as playing the two positions makes him a double threat allowing his coach to make tactical decisions as needed. ” Training as a goalkeeper gives me a better understanding on the sport in general, in that position I get a better view of the whole field, but playing forward makes it easy for me to know what the defenders are going to do and how the opposing keeper is likely to react” Andrés told Soccer in Mexico, ” Also, playing in Mexico is very different than here in the U.S., Mexican soccer is more like the way it’s played in Argentina and Brazil, here in the U.S. it’s more like English soccer”
“My goal is to play college soccer and contribute to my team in a competitive division, I have been very fortunate to have always had very good coaches, and I think that has reflected in my abilities, I hope this good fortune continues”
